The enemies are not exciting and the final boss fight is a huge downer. The combination of different powers on the left hand and several guns and tools on the right hand is interesting, but the combat itself is not fun.

But the worldbuilding and characters are very well done.īut it's another narrative game that would've been a lot better if there was no combat at all. The plot itself is not bad, although nothing really mind-blowing (not even the lauded twist is something to write home about). Not very long, not open world, no choice of dialogue, but a quest-oriented linear story told mostly by the underwater city of Rapture's architecture and decor, besides some short audio messages. Serious TL DR: a masterpiece of storytelling through ambiance, marred by uninteresting enemies and combat.Ī game from over 15 years ago that still holds up pretty well.
